This is a request for bids for construction of ramps or other barrier removal projects for the Center for Accessible Living’s Rampbuilders Program.
INVITATION TO BID
The Center for Accessible Living requests bids for a licensed, insured building contractor to construct treated wood access ramps or metal access ramps, where necessary, hand rails, grab bars or other limited accessibility modifications in private residential dwellings in the Louisville Metro area. The ramp building program is funded through the Louisville Metro Government and private donations.
Specifications may be picked up at the Center between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Requests for copies of the specifications may be sent by fax to (502) 589-3980 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The bid packet is self-explanatory. If you need additional information, please forward requests by facsimile transmission to (502) 589-3980. Electronic requests may be directed to email@example.com.
Bids must be returned to the Center no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 16, 2015. Bids must be submitted in writing, by mail or hand delivered, and must be signed by a representative of the company. The Center will not be responsible for mail submissions that arrive after the deadline.

The contract period will be for three (3) years, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
