CAL Part of Successful Design the Future Camp at University of Louisville
The Center for Accessible Living was very happy to be part of the very first Design the Future camp at the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. Design the Future is an award-winning STEM summer program in which high school students work to solve every day challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. The program was begun several years ago at Stanford and the University of California at Berkeley. U of L is the first university outside of California to participate. CAL staff David Allgood and Donna Fox and YES member Kevin Holmes served as three of the four project partners for the week-long camp, presenting their own problems to the students to solve. Michelle Bazeley was the fourth project partner.
